In a Down Economy you can still Land that Dream Job
Books On Jobs and how to land them-
Sometimes the best way to get the Job is to be prepared for the job and learn some of the ways to be confident during an Interview. For most of us it is harder to land that Interview then it is to land the job. The reason for this is we just tend to look at jobs that we are not passionate about or just not qualified for. The person Interviewing is gonna look for every weakness in the many candidates they interview. If it is not a job that you are suited to they will weed you out in a heart beat. The only way to get the job, get any job, is to be prepared for everything the Interviewer is going to throw at you.

Good people are hard to find so you need to learn how to look that hard to find employee. Take some time and check out the books listed above and find one that can work on your weaknesses.
The Difficult Interview
Every Interview you will ever go on will be "The Difficult Interview". the difference between winning that job and losing that job is by winning over the person you are being Interviewed by and showing off your strengths with a positive and a relaxing attitude. When an Interview is difficult it usually means you went into it unprepared. Many people who go into an Interview forget about all the questions they will be asked even some of the simple ones like:
- Why do you want this Job?
- What makes you a good fit for this position?
- Describe your work ethics
- Why should we hire you?
- Are you an Independent Person or do you Prefer a Team Atmosphere
If you have a problem or get stressed out during Interviews
Frequently Asked Questions
If I were to be in a position to have to interview again I would most certainly get a book that goes over the most common questions asked during an Interview. I would then practice answering those questions so I can be as cool and sharp as possible when they expect an answer in return. Also when answering don't just spit it out quickly. Pause for a second and then lay on them the most perfect crisp answer they can recieve. You have to understand that these Interviewers get tired of the stupid answers, people who blank out, or people who answer them so incomplete that they are automatically crossed out as a possible candidate.
Interview Behavior
Your behavior will be obvious as you nerviously tap on the desk, lean forward in your chair, or even show how you are very uncompfortable during the Interview. Try to relax before hand and don't think about anything. Try to empty your mind out and pretend your not even on an Interview. Instead look at this guy or girl like a friend from High School that you haven't seen in years. In fact try to associate them with a friend from your past right away and this will help ease your nerves.
Never use foul language or even talk bad about past employees, bosses, or jobs you may have had. Remember that any negative spoken by you becomes a negative that falls upon yourself. So if they ask you what you have disliked about in your last job tell them there was nothing you disliked. Let them know your prior Boss set an agenda that was a good agenda that helped to make work a joy.
Another words "LIE"! Honesty will kill you every time because you and I know very well that there is enough crap to talk about from your last job but that is better off forgotten and burried. So stay on the positive side and win that job with confidence and preparation.
Preparing for the Interview
Read, Study, Relax... It takes work, very hard work to get a good Job and the payoff is very big when you can secure the dream job you've been looking for. Preparation starts by reading, reading,reading.....Know how to search, how to get the Interview, and how to selll yourself. If you can't do all 3 then you will wind up taking a job you dont love.
Interview Books
The Best Book for any Job Seeker is the "nterview Book"! I have seen more people who have great backgrounds put their foot so deep into their own mouth that I had to openly laugh at them. When people are not prepared they can say the stupidest things and they do every time. Confidence comes with preparation so if you avoided everything I've written thus far then atleast write "Preparation" down on a piece of paper. This is the one word that will help you shine during the Interview.
There are many books about Interviewing them but all you will need is one book. If you think you don't have to prepare and study then I suggest you learn to flip burgers as soon as possible. As much as you think you have been taught and are ready for the working world you would be clueless to think that you will not learn and study anymore. In fact to succeed you have to stand out, go the distance, and learn how to do things quicker, more efficient, and in an environment where you can help others to achieve. Become the team leader and stay on top of everything and you will become wealthy in knowledge and opportunities.
Job Assistant
Use the Internet to find and locate jobs. That will be your job assistant. You can also use a headhunter if you have some specialized skills to offer a company.
Job Techniques
Your Techniques to finding a job maybe something good or less then good. Without a guide, without a book, you are probably using all the wrong moves to land your job. Trust me and prepare as your way of finding a job and landing it is probably at best 10% effective.
Job weakness and Weaknesses
Know your weakness and weaknesses as they will shine brighter then you want them to. Prepare your answers to compensate for some of the places you may lag and try to have something up your sleeve to distract the interviewer when they ask that question that will kill your opportunities for employment.
Preparing for a Job
As stated above prepare by reading and learning how to get a job and Interviewing.....If you don't understand that yet then you are ignorant! Unfortunately many people who I have Interviewed are ill prepared and it is very sad that there talents can never be explored because they were unprepared for my Interview.
