Elliminate Stress and be more Productive at Work

Work Stress can Lead to Medical Conditions

If your working a job that is causing stress on you then you may want to consider looking around for a work environment that is less stressful. Work Stress can cause an Anxiety Condition and even Physical Problems that can lead to long term Health Problems. If you don't have much of a choice because of the economy then atleast consider facing the causes of stress you have to deal with day in and day out.

Rid Yourself from Work Stress

To get rid of the stress you face in the work place you will find it easier to change how you look at things then how someone else acts or pushes your buttons. If there is a person at your work that just gets your goat everyday then try to either avoid them or address the problem you have with them. If you decide not to confront the stress in your work place then sooner or later the stress will start to run your work life and before you know it you will be bringing it home to your family.

Find your inner strength and accept that not all people take their job as serious as you do or maybe its the opposite way around. Some people take the Job to serious and expect you to do the same. There is a balance between working and making your work your life. If you are single and you have nothing better to do then work 10-12 hours or more a day then have a good time but don't expect someone married with a family to be a workaholic. Married people and many other people have a life and the job is there to help them have a fun and happy life so have some understanding that not everyone wants to work until they die. On the other hand if you show up late to work but then still leave at your usual time then some people will have a problem with it. If your paid for 40 hours a week then put in a good hard working 40 hours. If your doing a job that has a deadline then expect to work late like the rest of the group, and if you don't want to then find another job.

Is your Job Stress Caused By the Wrong Job Choice?

If you chose a career where you travel all the time and it is expected for you to travel often then you better enjoy it. If you hate to travel and dread going from one aoirport to the next then get a job designed for you. Happiness is not the size of the paycheck but is only measured in the time you create memories with the people you like and love. Look around your office and decide if you like the peole you work with and if not start putting out resume's. If your unhappy just think about what others may feel about having such a joy at work with them.

Make friends with the ones that irritate you.

Sometimes the best medicine is to find common ground with the person who stresses you out the most. Give it a chance and reach over the no fly zone and start fresh with this person you utterly hate. you maybe suprised at what you find out about them and may find many things you like about them. Be an adult with them and remember not everyone is perfect and often it is the things we have lived with, the abuses we have suffered, that make us the ones that are not so enjoyable to get along with. Dig deep and find a solution instead of increasing the stress in the work place.

Find Happiness in Your Job

Maybe its not a person that gets to you but a particular job duty such as making coffee for the boss. To get rid of your stress just Pee in his coffee pot. (Not Really) Chances are you have thought about it but would never act upon that particular thought. If stess drives you to the point that you have thoughts like this in your mind often then leave your job as soon as you can afford to. Consider This, what does your boss go through on a daily basis? Have you ever thought about the pressure and stress that he or she may face each and every day? Personally I make coffee for my boss and he deserves it. My boss is hard working, fair and intelligent and I could'nt have a better Boss. If your boss is not someone you admire or look up to then take another look at what they go through, it could be you have only worried about yourself and have never given it any thought.

Be Grateful for having a Job

In this economy go to work with thanks for your company and your boss who have managed to keep you employed. Stop pissing and moaning over the little things and start becomming the positive change in your office. Often it only takes one person to make the work environment one that is fun to be in. Find solutions for other coworkers to eliminate the stress they may suffer in the office. Build friendships and start looking forward to seeing your coworkers each day.

Throw a company Picnic

By bringing employees together on a regular basis you will help them to build bonds between each other. These bonds will not only elliminate stress but also to help romote teamwork in the office. Individually we can do some job tasks but as a team we can accomplish major feats. Assign a dish or make a list of items that is needed for the picnic and have people voluntarily bring a dish or item. This helps to get people to volunteer and before you know it they will be doing so at work also.

Eat lunch together with fellow employees

Have you ever noticed the employees who eat lunch together rarely get fired or laid off. They are a team in everything they do including eating lunch. The individuals who try to keep their individuality and private life often are the ones that are the easiest to get rid, fire or lay off. By becomming a team member you will reduce the fear of losing your job and also reduce the stress associated with that fear.

Productivity verses Stress

If you stay busy at work then you have little time to worry and talk about the negatives. Instead you will be focussed at the jobs needed to be done and your production level will go up. This helps reduce work stress and also makes you a much more valuable employee. Stress is almost always carried by those who work less and spend time complaining and bickering with other employees.
